#AprilFeelsDay? More like #AfterFeelsDay

First of all, let me tell you this. I use a lot of social media every day, and whenever I get exhausted and completely turned off by election-related hostility, the #AprilFeelsDay tag on Instagram has now become my refuge. Why? Because…

*dreamy sigh*

Isn’t it so beautiful? Yeah, let’s take a good, long moment to scan through those photos and videos once again, because God knows I haven’t had enough of them yet. I’m also stalling because I don’t know where to begin with this recap, if it could even be called such.

If you’ve missed it by the way, here are #AprilFeelsDay recaps from Mina, Chi, April, AnaCarla, Ron, and Krissy.

It’s my party, I can cry if I want to.

Except I won’t. Because there’s no party. Yet.

No, scratch that. The party’s started way before today. It’s those little every day moments that made me laugh, smile, feel kilig in a number of different ways. When you put them all together, they make for a pretty fantastic party. (I’m really just saying this because I feel like I’m too old for an actual one and would rather spend my birthday here at home, writing something.)

So–first things first: I’ve drawn a winner for my birthday giveaway, and it’s . . .

BirthdayGiveawayWinner

Congratulations, Nicole! I’ll be in touch with you soon so you can claim your prizes! ^_^ WOOHOO!

So yes, February’s been awesome so far, what with all the #romanceclass happenings as of late. Like that time we went to watch PETA’s 3 Stars and a Sun:

Instagram will load in the frontend.

We bought 18 balcony center tickets to see Gio Gahol play Chino in PETA’s newest production featuring Francis Magalona’s songs. I’d write a review of the musical, but I need to see it again. And again. Maybe I’ll get to that review by mid-March. Yep, it usually takes me that long to process All My Feelings. But please, for the love of all things beautiful–go see the show. Here’s a list of shows and showbuyers you can contact to get tickets. They run until March 6 ONLY!

Bayan o Sarili: Mamili Ka!

So this was a thing that happened last Sunday. 🙂

I was initially apprehensive about attending the Heneral Luna DVD Launch because 1) it had been raining non-stop the day before (and we know what happens to the already congested roads when it rains) and 2) the venue was in Eastwood City, a place I wouldn’t know how else to get to aside from riding a cab.

So imagine my excitement when the rain let up on Sunday, allowing me to do a bit of shopping early in the afternoon before heading to Libis. I was so scared of being late for the 7:00 PM event that I rode a cab to the venue at around 4:00 and arrived 20 minutes later. (LOL, what traffic? Where? It was a miracle!)

Heneral Luna DVDs were being sold at the venue entrance for P699 (roughly $15) and I think I was one of the first ones to buy that day. The staff were still setting up their wares when I approached and told them to

shut-up-and-take-my-money

Just kidding. I didn’t say that.

I did let them take my money though.
