Title Reveal: #ProjectIsagani is LOVE AS YOU ARE!

Because you don’t need to change a thing,
to mask your flaws,
to be someone else
to love
and be loved.

LOVE AS YOU ARE is a contemporary romance novel about thirty-somethings Isagani and Moe, who try to figure out their feelings for each other, and heal their inner child in the process. The book is set in the Philippines, in the first half of 2022, when the world was just beginning to open up and Filipinos were feeling hopeful about change.

This book is for
🍩 all the panganays who had to grow up so fast
🍩 anyone who’s ever been ridiculed for their looks
🍩 hopeless romantics who still believe in love
🍩 romance fans who don’t mind a bit of spice
🍩 everyone who’s simply looking for a light and (mostly) fluffy read

The book comes out in August! In the meantime, if you are interested in an ARC, the sign up form will be open until June 29 only.

Connect the Hearts is on tour!

Finally had the brain cells to do something to promote my latest book, Connect the Hearts, and it’s a book tour in collaboration with Book Lover Titas on Instagram!

Book Lover Titas is a growing Instagram community of titas who share a love for reading. Founded in 2020, Book Lover Titas conduct various activities such as monthly book discussions, bookish events and hangouts, and collaborations with local publishers and authors, all to foster a warm and welcoming experience among tita book lovers.

I first met one of their members, Krystine, when she attended a #RomanceClass event last year, and again, this year when she and another Book Lover Titas member, Tess, came to our #BlushBooks x Fully Booked event last February. In March, I also met Diane who visited the #RomanceClass booth at the 2025 Philippine Book Festival. They’ve been so warm and supportive not just of #RomanceClass authors, but also of other Filipino authors, so I decided to get in touch with them to see if they’d be interested in hosting a book tour for Connect the Hearts. They said YES! and now here we are, almost on the second week of the book tour that started on June 7.

I’m sharing some of their posts below, but first, take advantage of this ebook sale for Connect the Hearts! The book is only $1.99 (original price $4.99) until June 20, so it’s time to one-click the book and share this with your romance book loving friends!

And now, here’s what our Book Lover Titas have to say about Connect the Hearts:

#TeamLabyu is back!

It’s almost World Theatre Day, and what better way to celebrate that special day than by re-releasing my Philippine theatre-based romance novel, Waiting in the Wings! That’s right friends~by March 27, everyone who’s purchased the Kindle version of the book will be seeing its 2024 edition!

The 2024 edition of Waiting in the Wings has a new clinch cover featuring theatre actors Marynor Madamesila and Gio Gahol, photographed by Chi Yu Rodriguez and designed by Miles Tan. The story is tweaked a little bit, so you might find new things inside, but it’s essentially the same story set during pre-pandemic times (the original came out in 2017), and of course, our main couple still get their HEA.

I’m now taking pre-orders for paperback AND hardbound copies of this new edition for PH readers! If you’re interested to buy a copy of the book, fill out the form found here. The form will close on March 31, 2024, and books will be scheduled for pick-up or delivery beginning April 13.

Five years in the making…

Five years ago, I tweeted this:

I don’t remember anymore how exactly I came up with the plunny, although it’s possible that it’s mostly because I had Daniel Henney in mind as the love interest. He loves dogs, and so do I…and I’d never really written a story yet where the characters had pets, so I wanted to give it a try.

I’ve kept the idea for the story in my growing list of plunnies to explore, but only got around to writing it until sometime in late 2021, when I decided to put together an anthology of short stories that eventually became What If We Fall In Love? I shelved this story and instead included my NomCom submission, Your Heart, To Go, to complete the lineup. I thought it would take a while before I got to revisit the manuscript, but an opportunity to finish it came when submissions for Pawfect For You (then simply called Tropetastic 3) came along.
