It’s here! The #RomanceClass Podcast is finally up, its initial offering made available on December 12, 2015. The pilot episode featured Ana Tejano’s Fall Like Rain.

For those who aren’t yet familiar with the whole concept, here’s what you need to know: Theatre actors Gio Gahol and Rachel Coates read scenes off some of #romanceclass books, penned by indie Filipino authors. There are ten episodes in total, and two have been released so far. Updates are being posted weekly and may be subscribed via romancepodcast.com, but if you want everything in one go, feel free to purchase all ten episodes of Season One here. (Preorder price is $4.99, but only until the end of December! It will be selling for $8.99 come January 2016.)

Oh, and did I mention you get a guest pass to the next live reading if you purchase Season One? Yep. There’s that, too. Exciting, right?

Anyway, click the Read More button for the first two episodes which are now available for your listening pleasure–Ana Tejano’s Fall Like Rain, and Mina V. Esguerra’s Never Just Friends.

Fall Like Rain by Ana Tejano

SYNOPSIS

Rain De Castro has been in love with her best friend, Mark Velasco, for almost the entire time she has known him, but she’s clearly in the friend zone because he’s happily in a relationship. Or so she thought, until the news of his break-up reaches her. Now that Mark’s single again, she decides that it’s time to get out of the zone. But when her cousin Lissa comes into the picture and sets her eyes on Mark, Rain feels troubled when he gets a little too friendly with her. Rain is determined to fight for what she feels this time, but is it worth the effort if it’s a losing battle from the start? Will she back off to give way for her best friend’s happiness, even if it means losing him to someone else again?

Fall Like Rain is available on Amazon. Prints may be ordered directly from the author. Click here for my review of this book.

Never Just Friends by Mina V. Esguerra

SYNOPSIS

It’s too easy to fall in love with Jake. Don’t do it.

Lindsay and Jake have loved each other (as friends) since their senior year in college, and she made sure they didn’t become more than that. The guy now known as Jacob Berkeley, star of a wildly successful TV show, was always too much for her. Too handsome, too many questionable hookups, too restless. Also sensitive, fun, and genuinely caring. She’s his emergency contact, his “zombie apocalypse buddy,” his holiday dinner companion.

They’ve kept up this low-maintenance friendship for years, surviving graduation, their new careers, her move to New York City to work as an environment consultant. But then, days before a big climate change conference, he shows up, with big news. Jake wants to pick up what he never managed to finish in college. He wants to save forests again, work in environmental research – and he wants her.

Don’t fall in love with Jake…Why again?

Never Just Friends is available on Amazon (published digitally as Fallen Again) and iBooks. Prints may be ordered directly from the author.

The #RomanceClass Podcast is produced by Tania Arpa and Mina V. Esguerra. They may be reached via tania@taniaarpa.com and minavesguerra@gmail.com.
