I thought a lot about what ~authorly thing I can do for Christmas that’s not a giveaway (because I think I might have done too many this year already) and came up with this–a weekly ebook freebie!
Because it’s #BuwanNgMgaAkdangPinoy, all my books on Amazon are $0.99 until the end of the month! Check out my titles below:
Paper Planes Back Home
The “Forget You” Brew
Settle the Score / Hustle Play
Waiting in the Wings
Hankering for more Filipino-authored romances? Well, you’re in luck, because a lot of my fellow #romanceclass authors are having a $0.99 sale too! Take a look at this very useful Twitter thread put together by our dear friend, Chachic:

There you go~ time for some book shopping! Have fuuu~n! <3
Honestly, I hadn’t really planned on writing a yearender blog post for reasons that are relatively mababaw (i.e. my internet connection S U C K S here in Baguio City), but I thought it would be nice to cap this mostly WTF year with a look back at the moments I was most thankful for. After all, happiness stems from having a grateful heart, right?
And so without further ado, here are the 16 sweetest moments of my 2016.
1. Being able to write for kids. (Bayong ng Kuting Workshop, January 2016)
Being able to write is, in itself, a blessing, but at the end of 2015, I decided to challenge myself and enroll in the Bayong ng Kuting Workshop. The workshop required us to craft an original children’s story around the Bayong ng Kuting universe. And if you think writing children’s lit is easy, think. again. No news yet about our submissions, but no matter the outcome, I’m so glad I took on this challenge. ^_^
2. Dipping my toes in uncharted waters. (#romanceclass @ Komiket, February 2016)
Another first for #romanceclass and myself was being one of the participating merchants at the Komiket, an event that featured and celebrated indie komiks and the talented people behind them. We probably stood out like a sore thumb then, selling romance novels alongside comicbooks and art, but it had been fun, and we actually sold books! I believe this was where the idea for #4 came up (though I could be wrong, heh).
BONUS ROUND: I met Manix Abrera for the first time in this event! He is SO COOL. <3
In time for the Emerald Pep Rally (Settle the Score/Hustle Play blog tour) happening this weekend, I’m sharing a scene that didn’t make it to the final version of Hustle Play.
Settle the Score/Hustle Play
SETTLE THE SCORE
College senior Garnet Figueroa lives and breathes basketball. A reliable asset to her varsity team, she is equipped with the skills and smarts to get the De La Sierra Lady Hunters closer to this year’s championship title. But Garnet soon finds out that her good friend (and long-time crush), cheerdancer Charles Crisostomo, is being cheated on by his girl, and she lets her emotions get the best of her.
Will she be able to come up with a game plan to save herself from heartbreak before the buzzer signals Game Over?
Running on pure adrenaline and working with game strategies is something a basketball player like Garnet Figueroa is trained for. On the court, she is unbeatable. Off the court… that’s a completely different story.
Because falling in love is trickier than a ball game, and Garnet finds herself fumbling over her feelings for Charles Crisostomo. The fact that her attention gets divided between him and rival school hard-court hottie Chris Barcelo doesn’t help.
Or does it?

Back in April, I put together a thing called 소리질러 (Make Some Noise) Week for Scandalized, which was basically a teeny-tiny version of an ARC sign-up + blog tour. It had been really fun, and I would’ve done the same for my latest release if I hadn’t been (figuratively) running around like a headless chicken since September. Welp.
Thankfully, I now have time and energy to promote Garnet and Charles’ love story–and therefore, I present to you The Emerald Pep Rally! It’s a three-day blog tour featuring my first sports romance novella, Settle the Score/Hustle Play.
Here’s the rollout schedule for those interested in signing up:
November 2-9: Sign up week
November 10: Pep rally kit distribution
November 18-20: Emerald Pep Rally proper
Ready to join? If you have some time on your hands and want to participate in this tour, please fill out the form below!
As my way of thanking those of you who will be signing up and participating, I’m raffling off some goodies at the end of the month. I’ll be announcing what they are soon! ^_^
Hope to see you all at the pep rally! <3
