I organized another #RomanceClass covers shoot after almost three years, and it was so much fun (as usual)! đź©·
So backstory: When I started conceptualizing Isagani’s book as early as 2018, I had another actor in mind for the cover. (Yung mga OG Alvez fans diyan, alam niyo na.) Unfortunately, I didn’t get a response from him when I reached out. Hindi ko na rin na-follow up kasi libro pa ni Datu ang sinusulat ko nun.
Fast forward to 2025, I was making significant progress with the book and really had to look for someone to be my cover kuya.
It took watching Rendell Sanchez twice in Walang Aray for the vision to become crystal clear in my head. But before I could ask for a cover model shoot, I had to build a connection first kasi hashtag NotFriends. So ayun. Nagpakilala. We did a semi-secret project with Rendell and Mnor in December, thought “Uy okay siya ka-vibes” and “May chemistry sila ni MNor!” Invited him again as a live reader for Kilig Cafe in February, tapos nag-decide na talaga ako. Game na. I invited MNor again to be an RC cover girl and thankfully, she said yes!
We shot seven sets for six authors in this batch, and we took a little over three hours to wrap up. I got my Isagani and Moe, and I also got (surprise, surprise!) my Charles and Garnet. Super excited for this batch of covers because it looks like majority of them will be released in the next 6-12 months~ đź©·đź©·đź©· Kinikilig na rin ba kayo?
Anyway—it was so much fun being in the studio again, making/watching our book characters come to life. Akala niyo kilig-kilig lang ‘to? Noooooo. Nag-iigib din kami ng inspirasyon tuwing ginagawa namin ‘to. So wish us luck so we can get these new books out ASAP!
Rendell and Mnor, thanks so much for making patol! Ang saya namin lagi kapag pati cover models namin happy rin sa mga pinaggagawa nila while shooting the covers. ❤️ Sa uulitin please. Or mag-stage na tayo ng RomanceClass work emeee.
