Oh hi~ I’m back with a new (ish) book release! Ish, because half of this two-part book has already been released as an eBook via Buqo early this year.
Settle the Score is a short story about basketball player Garnet Figueroa, who makes a move to “rescue” her good friend, Charles Crisostomo, from an unhealthy relationship. The second installment, Hustle Play, continues where Settle the Score left off.
Amazon Release: October 15 (Click here to pre-order for only $0.99!) Print Release: October 22 (#FeelsFest, baby!)
Right on the heels of #AllTheFeels at the Manila International Book Fair (I’m pretty sure a lot of us haven’t gotten over this yet), #romanceclass is serving up even more of the good stuff in October! That’s right, we’re on a roll–because #FeelsFest is coming right at you on October 22 (2:00-6:00 PM), at the Glorietta 5 Atrium!
Here’s a quick list of things you can expect from the #romanceclass #FeelsFest:
NEW #ROMANCECLASS BOOKS! I’ve lost count of how many new titles are going to be launched because my brain stopped at 15. Yes, there’s more. I wouldn’t be surprised if we breach 20. But gah–yes! These are titles that weren’t around yet in April when we had #AprilFeelsDay, or in July when we had #FeelsRushIn. This is your chance to call dibs on our new babies, people! <3 (If you haven’t been able to buy previous titles, don’t worry. They’ll be available at the event too!)
AWESOME MERCH! Aside from books, we will have partners and friends who will be selling shirts, tote bags, bookmarks, stickers, decals, and more! So if you’re looking for a Trainman shirt, or a #TeamDiego decal, or maybe even want a cute keepsake of our #FeelsFest mascots, come join us.
FUN GAMES & PRIZES! We are preparing some fun games and other activities for everyone coming, so be sure to bring your enthusiasm with you. We promise to make it worth your while!
LIVE READINGS! The highlight of every #romanceclass event thus far has been the live readings, and we’re doing it again this time, of course. Which scenes from which books are going to be read, I wonder? And which of your favorite #romanceclass book characters will be brought to life by our actors? If you’ve experienced a live reading before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, then I suggest you come see–I mean, feel–for yourself.
Hope to see you guys there! <3
P.S. I don’t think I can even begin to do a full blog post about my MIBF2016 experience, so here are my daily ramblings, via my Facebook page: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 & 5
Why yes, I’ve already pinched myself several times to make sure I’m not only dreaming… because this is definitely happening: #RomanceClass will be at the 37th Manila International Book Fair from September 14-18, 2016 at the SMX Convention Center! OH. MY. GOD. *cue screaming*
Short backstory, to make this post a little more coherent:
This time last year, I was hell-bent on finishing a novella for the #StrangeLit (urban fantasy/paranormal fiction) workshop I signed up for, and come MIBF season, we authors were invited to come to the Buqo booth to interact with possible readers of our books. We had that book-to-ebook exchange thing going on where people can come bring their old books, donate it to the cause, and get our ebook bundles in exchange. And while it was a fun experience, we wanted more.
We wanted more people interacting with us authors, asking about our books and actually buying them. We wanted a lot of kilig, and maybe some screaming (because we heard a LOT of screaming going on at some booths and we were like, WE WANT THAT), and just basically a space for us to do Things.
Fastforward to a year later, and we have this. Our books (42 titles from #romanceclass, #StrangeLit, and #HeistClub) will be available all week long at our designated booth, and we have our very own talk + live reading on Sunday, the 18th! How about that?
Come and join us at the MIBF this year, okay? I’m looking forward to meeting you guys, especially at the Sunday event. Migs Almendras, Rachel Coates, and Gio Gahol will be there to read new #romanceclass selections, and I’m so excited to find out what they are! Are you? <3
As August AKA Buwan ng Mga Akdang Pinoy comes to a close, I put together a third and final installment of the #RomanceClass x OPM playlist. Thank you so much to everyone who recommended and submitted songs for this project, and if you missed the first two playlists, don’t fret! Simply click on the links below to get to them.
Click on the Read More button for Playlist #3 and notes about the books they’re “linked” to. For more information on the featured books, simply click on the titles! Hope you find a good read for the coming weekend! <3
