A little more than peeved

Don’t you just love positivity? Don’t you just appreciate waking up every morning to a loving family, having meal/s with them, going to work and meet awesome, hardworking people (with whom you get stressed over job-related things with), and then coming back home to a nice warm bed, maybe curling up to read a book or watch something you like? Wouldn’t it be nice if life were this hassle-free all the time, or most of the time at least?

Yeah. It would be really nice, but you know what? We can’t all be that lucky.

(A lot of ranting after the jump, so if you’re not in the mood to get annoyed or feel bad today, I suggest you don’t click it. This is just for me to release all the rage building up inside my chest over the past several weeks. Again, don’t click if you don’t feel like getting negative energy on you. Deal?)

It’s the month of May(hem)

The fact that I can now write another blog entry means I’ve already typed the words “THE END” on my #SparkNA manuscript–and believe me, I’d totally drink to that if I could–and am currently enjoying a few hours away from it. I have now spent a full 19 or so hours away from my still tentatively-titled book, and I’m just waiting for my editor friend, Rix, to give it a pass before I review and apply whatever changes she deems fit. I have already watched the latest episode of Running Man, eaten (almost) a whole bag of Lay’s Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips, and finished Mina Esguerra’s My Imaginary Ex (which she had up for a giveaway until yesterday). Life is good.

Until Monday, I guess.

What Wattpad?

It’s amazing how many young writers and readers are on Wattpad these days. Admittedly, I learned about the site very late (I joined in late 2013, so you can say I’m still a n00b), mainly because I haven’t been actively writing fiction since late 2010, and man was I floored upon seeing the writing and reading population in that website. In fact, it had been so popular here in my country that publishing companies have ventured printing popular Wattpad novels, and film and TV producers have been jumping onto the bandwagon as well, producing some of the more famous stories for film and mini-serials.

The accessibility of cheaper smartphones and data services has made it easier for the younger generation to access Wattpad. If memory serves me right, there’s a major telecom company offering free access to the site when you avail of a certain data service–that’s how popular it is now to the youth in my country.
